330 gallon IBC Totes Assembly and Construction

Bladder or Inner Tank

330 gallon bottles are blow-molded with an interior of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and an exterior of post consumer resin (PCR).

HDPE is a durable, corrosion-resistant plastic with industrial strength. It is non-corrosive, resistant to tears, punctures, and impacts. It follows FDA guidelines for food grade products, and is NSF 61 certified for potable water and human consumption.

Galvanized Steel Frame

A zinc-coated and galvanized steel cage is used to secure the plastic bladder to the pallet, which provides protection during transportation and storage.

Furthermore, steel cages can support heavy loads, provide a durable shell, and can be stored vertically to maximize space.

Pallet

Integrated pallets are used in IBCs to simplify product movement and increase mobility. Composite bases are constructed from high molecular HDPE and galvanized steel.

The HDPE bottle is mounted on the unified skid by a flat steel plate. A caged IBC tote pallet can be operated with a forklift or pallet jack due to its four-way and multidirectional steel access channels. A tote can be approached and maneuvered from any of these access channels.

Inlet/Outlet

330-gallon bulk containers are usually equipped with a 2-inch drain valve and 6-inch fill cap.
